I have been deeply involved with the CMG since 2009, serving as diversity and human rights director since 2016 and also previously having a mandate as SRC director. I was on the bargaining team for CBC CMG employees during the last round of bargaining and work as a digital producer with Toronto SRC.

I studied law before moving to Vancouver in 2001 from France. Born of Algerian parents, I know the difficulties of finding your place in your own country when belonging to a racialized group subjected to discrimination. I experienced what it is to be an immigrant in Canada and understand the journey and the challenges of coming from elsewhere. My core values include justice, equity, human rights, and solidarity.
